The Challenge & the Work: The Alberta Association of Nurses first approached WPRS at the beginning of 2022 with an exciting challenge: help them launch the province’s first designation-inclusive nursing association in just under 8 weeks. Our team quickly got to work and created a comprehensive and integrated PR strategy to help amplify their upcoming virtual launch. A combination of strategic media relations, social content and owned channel leverage saw a packed (virtual) house for launch day on May 9.
The Outcome: After a flurry of interviews, over 60 million Canadians got to hear AAN’s story through radio, television, digital and print channels. The association saw their membership numbers rapidly increase after the launch, and the earned coverage won them an organic spot on the first page of Google – no small feat for a brand new organization! AAN continues to grow and build off of the momentum that kick-started its launch, and we’re proud to partner with them as they work to give the best to Alberta’s nurses.
